First edition, scarce first issue, the splendid catalogue from Michals’ exhibition in Oxford, England, boldly signed by him on the title page, featuring over 90 photogravure plates.

“Widely influential… the complex works of Duane Michals” often work “with narrative sequences, multiple exposures or single black and white images juxtaposed with handwritten texts” (McDarrah, 677). With photo-essays such as “The Return of the Prodigal Son” and “The Fallen Angel”; essay by curator Marco Livingston and a 1984 interview with Michals. Published in wrappers only, coincident with a touring exhibit that opened at the Oxford, England Museum of Art in December 1984. As issued without dust jacket.
