Today would have been Ray Bradbury’s 105th birthday and we are pleased to be celebrating his many contributions to science fiction and fantasy.

“Dandelion Wine,” published in 1957, is his semi-autobiographical novel. This copy is a first edition, signed by Bradbury - with a sketch of a dandelion.

The author of The War of the Worlds (1898), The Time Machine. An Invention. (1895), The Invisible Man. A Grotesque Romance.(1897), The Island of Doctor Moreau (1896), and many more, Wells was a pioneer in Scientific Romance, which is now known as Science Fiction.

H. G. Wells was born September 21, 1866 and died on this day in 1946.
