Limited first edition, one of only 350 copies on Japanese paper, with 101 sepia and black-and-white photogravures of Turner’s oil paintings and watercolors (two printed in color). Beautifully bound by Howell.

Besides showing attention to luminosity and atmosphere his painting became increasingly Romantic in its dramatic subject-matter and sense of movement” (Chilvers, 504).
