Signed limited first edition, number 3 of only 265 copies of this special edition, signed by the editor and expressly designed and bound in full inlaid morocco by Zaehnsdorf for the Arcadia Press.

One of the best known and most prolific authors on wine, "Simon's knowledge of wine was encyclopedic, and his literary style is imaginative, clear, concise and distinctive" (Gabler, 248). Throughout his life, he collected wine and wine books, founded numerous clubs and societies, including The Wine Trade club, the Saintsbury Club, and the International Wine and Food Society, making him one of the most famous oenophiles of all time.
