Signed limited first edition of this scarce monograph on the works of Addison Mizner, richly illustrated with 185 sepia-toned folio photogravures and sumptuously bound, number 67 of only 100 copies on Van Gelder paper, signed and dated in the year of publication by Mizner on the limitation page. This copy additionally inscribed to a client and friend of Mizner who lived in one of the homes featured in the book, “To Minnie [Warburton] with all my love, Adder. May 5th, 1928,” along with a sketched self-portrait in profile.
Mizner’s Spanish and Italian-inflected Mediterranean Revival style continues to influence and inspire architects and developers in Florida and beyond. Richly illustrated with frontispiece photograph of Mizner, and 184 finely printed sepia-toned folio photogravures showcasing the work of this most influential architect of Boca Raton and Palm Beach. This privately printed “Edicion Imperial” preceded the trade edition issued in New York by William Helburn. The recipient of this inscribed copy, Minnie Warburton, lived in “Casa Maria Marrone,” featured in four photogravures in this volume.
