Signed limited first edition, issued the same year as the Scribner's trade edition, of King's terrifying sequel to The Shining, number 112 of 750 copies signed by King, dust jacket designer Vincent Chong, and illustrator Erin Wells on the limitation page, one of 100 copies with an additional remarque signed by Chong and also with a signed remarque print by artist Glenn Chadbourne. This deluxe illustrated edition includes features six full-page color illustrations (two folding), 19 full-page and several in-text black-and-white illustrations by Wells.

In Doctor Sleep, which King calls a return to "keep-the-lights-on horror," he continues the story of Danny, "the little boy with psycho-intuitive powers in King's famous 1977 novel, The Shining… King is a pro: by the end of this book your fingers will be mere stubs of their former selves, and you will be looking askance at the people in the supermarket line, because if they turn around they might have metallic eyes.
