A fine LBJ letter, written when Johnson was a Senator and the Democratic Leader, to Theodore Bernstein, Assistant Managing Editor of the New York Times.

Written on Johnson’s United States Senate letterhead, the brief letter notes: “It was a pleasure to meet with you and the other members of the New York Times Editorial Board during my brief visit in New York. I hope you will reciprocate the favor by calling upon me in Washington the next time you are there.” With Johnson’s bold and distinctive signature in blue.

One crease mark, from folding for envelope. Fine condition.
