Signed limited first edition of David Hockney’s and Stephen Spender’s richly illustrated diary of their travels through China, one of only 1000 copies signed by both Hockney and Spender and with an original five-color folding lithograph entitled “Red Square and the Forbidden City,” one of only 100 Artist’s Proofs of the lithograph, from a total edition of 1100.
Spender and Hockney made their tour of China from May-June, 1981; their diary is richly illustrated with watercolors and photographs.
