Limited first edition of this lovely German-language Haggadah, number 7 of only 300 produced, with 12 finely hand-colored full-page woodcuts by Fritz Kredel.

German artist and designer Frtiz Kredel studied under Rudolf Koch at the Offenbach School of Art and Design, and collaborated with Koch on several books, including this one. In 1938 Kredel fled Germany for political reasons, emigrating to the United States. He taught at Cooper Union in New York and produced illustrations for over 400 books in German and English, including a number of volumes for George Macy’s Limited Editions Club. Text in German and Hebrew. Owner ink stamp.
