Collected edition of Goldsmith's poems and plays, number 6 of only 100 copies printed for America (out of a total edition of 250 copies), edited by Austin Dobson and with six lovely, atmospheric etchings depicting scenes from the text by John Jellicoe and Herbert Railton, handsomely bound.

“All Goldsmith’s work is like a tapestry… threaded through with glowing images and tender beauty” (Kunitz & Haycraft, 228). This collection of Goldsmith's poetry and drama, edited by distinguished British poet and literary editor Austin Dobson, also includes six etchings by John Jellicoe and Herbert Railton.

Only a few tiny spots of soiling to interior, light rubbing to binding extremities. A handsome, near-fine copy.
