History teacher Eugene Feldman's Hiram R. Revels: Negro Senator from Mississippi is a pamphlet biography of the United States' first African American senator. A pastor affiliated with the African Episcopal Church, Revels was also a civil rights activist dedicated to uplifting his community through education and opportunity while fighting oppressive forces like the Klan. This pamphlet was released to community groups as part of the public service program at a Chicago auto insurance dealer.
