"Let us begin then," Dunn advises, "by putting aside all speculation and worry over such unimportant details as grip, stance, the snap of the wrists, timing of the stroke, and a score of similar shibboleths." Renowned golf course architect John Duncan Dunn designed courses such as Catalina Island Golf Club and Santa Ana Country Club. He went on to publish the three-volume How to Drive, How to Approach, How to Putt (1922), Elements of the Golf Swing (1930), and Natural Golf (1931).
