First edition of Carpenter’s autobiography, with 16 pages of illustrations, inscribed on the title page: "To Paul—Scott Carpenter," and signed by his daughter and co-author, Kris Stoever.
Carpenter was the fourth American in space and the second to orbit the earth, as well as being one of the seven "Right Stuff" astronauts. At his death in October 2013, astronaut John Glenn delivered Carpenter's eulogy. "It was Carpenter who gave Glenn his memorable blessing as Glenn prepared to launch into space: 'Godspeed, John Glenn'" (Washington Post). "First Edition" stated on copyright page. Co-authored by his daughter, Kris Stoever. With 16 pages of illustrations.
