A first edition of this wonderful tale of a traveling bird, which helps children with arithmetic. Highly desirable with a drawing by Carle. Bill and Phyllis Halloran were close friends of Carle’s; he dedicated The Very Busy Spider to them, and quoted a poem by Phyllis in the book Animals, Animals, which he illustrated.
