First edition of a wonderful collection of celebrity portraiture by famed entertainment lawyer Weissberger, a rare presentation/association copy from the library of Truman Capote, with his inkstamp on the front wrapper, “From the Library of Truman Capote,” warmly inscribed to him on the title page with a greeting in Latin, “For September 30, 1968, Ehue fagaces! [Alas!] To my old friend Truman, with a bounty of memories, Arnold.”

This fascinating presentation/association copy from the library of Truman Capote is warmly inscribed to him by renowned entertainment lawyer Arnold Weissberger. Weissberger’s collection of over 80 photogravures includes luminaries such as Noel Coward, Eleanor Roosevelt, Alec Guinness, Laurence Olivier, and especially features a full-page portrait of a young Capote. First edition, published in wrappers only, produced in conjunction with a special exhibit at the Museum of the City of New York. As issued without dust jacket. With Capote’s inkstamp on the front wrapper.
