Original five-issue run of the classic Jane Austen novel turned into a Marvel Illustrated comic book. Austen's text was adapted by Rita Award-winning romance writer Nancy Butler; the art was supplied by popular Spanish comic artist Hugo Petrus, whose interior illustrations are Regency-inspired yet designed to appeal to the modern reader. The series, which opens with the iconic "truth universally acknowledged" lines, spent multiple weeks on the New York Times Graphic Novel bestseller list. A collected edition followed in the same year.
