This extraordinary commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the original publication of L. Frank Baum's enduring classic features a large, intricate pop-up for every major scene—including a spinning tornado, a gleaming colored-foil Emerald City and a floating hot air balloon—along with numerous smaller pop-ups tucked into the flaps of text, and a wearable pair of green spectacles. "It is hard to impress children. They have seen and heard it all… But Robert Sabuda's eye-popping images, which leap off the page into a child's face, are almost demeaned by the word pop-up… [Sabuda] is indisputably the king of pop-ups" (New York Times).
