Your Turn to Curtsy My Turn to Bow

WARMLY INSCRIBED BY OSCAR-WINNING WRITER WILLIAM GOLDMAN, FIRST EDITION OF HIS SCARCE SECOND NOVEL YOUR TURN TO CURTSY

GOLDMAN, William. Your Turn to Curtsy My Turn to Bow. Garden City, New York: Doubleday, 1958. Octavo, original green cloth, original dust jacket.

First edition of the second novel by Academy Award-winner Goldman, a lyrical coming-of-age love story, warmly inscribed by him, “For Margie & Chuck et famille, fondest regards (I didn’t mean that to be as stilted as it may appear. Anyway, you know what I mean.) Bill.”

The novel was followed within a decade by his screenplay for the film Harper (1966), starring Paul Newman, and three years later by his Oscar-winning original screenplay for Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969).

Book fine; light edge-wear to very good dust jacket. Scarce inscribed.
