Editor Richard Clemence writes that Schumpeter, "one of the great figures in the history of economics," agreed to this collection prior to his death. It "includes all the important articles published by Professor Schumpeter in English before 1950, with the exception of the biographical essays." With frontispiece; preface by Clemence.
