First edition, inscribed by Robert Kennedy, "For Deke, With respect and best wishes from his friend—Bob Kennedy." Recipient Cartha "Deke" DeLoach was deputy associate director of the FBI, the third-highest ranking position behind only J. Edgar Hoover and Clyde Tolson.

Robert Kennedy's account of his trip around the world in 1962, including his speeches and conversations. The profits from this book were to be used for scholarships for students in Japan, Indonesia, and Berlin. With "First Edition" and code "F-M" (indicating issue date of August 1962) to copyright page; first issue dust jacket with "0862" to front flap. Contains 16 pages of black-and-white photogravures. Recipient DeLoach "became head of FBI investigations in 1965, leading the bureau's assault on the Klan after the 1964 killings in Mississippi. He supervised the investigation of the murder of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in 1968" (New York Times).

Book fine, dust jacket with just a few minor snags along edges and gently sunned spine, near-fine.
