First edition, early printing, of Bobby Jones’ personal account of his career and views on golf, with numerous photographic illustrations and diagrams, in scarce original dust jacket. Inscribed by Jones to a fellow championship golfer, “For Sam Torrance with best wishes, Robert T. Jones, Jr.” Additionally inscribed by Torrance years later with a note about his reception of the book upon his induction into the Peachtree Golf Club.

The person who presented this book to Torrance inscribed the front pastedown, "Sam—I do hope you enjoy 'The Jones Story.' Bill LT." In an inscription dated "Christmas 2006," Torrance wrote to the book's new recipient, "Enjoy. This book given to me in 1963 at the time I was inducted into Peachtree Golf Club in Atlanta, GA. Sam."
