First edition, "Édition Ordinaire," one of 1000 copies of this wonderful illustrated history of the London Stock Exchange, with numerous views of the Stock Exchange and dozens of portraits of the trustees, managers, and members of the Committee for General Purposes, beautifully bound in elaborate original vellum-gilt.

This illustrated history of the London Stock Exchange includes extensive information about the workings of the exchange itself, a survey of the Stock Exchange Benevolent Fund and the Stock Exchange Orchestral Society, and many views and dozens of portraits by renowned late 19th-century artists. Published simultaneously with an "Edition de luxe" of only 300 copies.
