Issued the same year in a trade edition, no priority established. Introduction by Valdez. This memorable presentation copy is inscribed to Herbert Spiegel and his family. Spiegel, the popular general manager of Cheeca Lodge, co-founded with President Bush the George Bush Cheeca Lodge Bonefish Tournament. Bush, a passionate and experienced sports fisherman, often stayed at Cheeca Lodge, which is located in the Florida Key's village of Islamorada. "It was to Islamorada that then-Vice President Bush fled for a final two-day fishing trip before his inauguration" (Washington Post). At the 1999 tournament, the year after Bush's inscription, he "caught and released a 13-pound, 4-ounce bonefish. It was the largest bonefish Bush has caught since he began fishing in the Keys as vice president-elect in December 1979" (Sun Sentinel).

A memorable presentation copy in fine condition.
