Includes Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, Emma, Mansfield Park, Persuasion and Northanger Abbey. Edwardian illustrator Charles Edmund Brock was a disciple of Victorian illustrator Hugh Thomson; Thomson had previously illustrated Austen's novels in line engravings, and Brock added color to Thomson's strong use of line.
