This published portfolio—the first book by acclaimed society and theater photographer Emil Hoppé— contains 15 photographs of some of the most prominent dancers of the early Russian Ballet, including Nijinsky, Federova, Karsavina, and Bolm, all dressed in full costume and striking a variety of ballet poses. Photographs fine, a few isolated spots of foxing and soiling to title page, plate list, and mounts, inner hinges of portfolio reinforced, a bit of wear to extremities of portfolio.
