Click for more info The original engraved citation awarding the 1962 Ernest Orlando Lawrence Memorial Award to pioneering physicist and Nobel winner Richard P. Feynman, signed by President John F. Kennedy and five members of the Atomic Energy Commission, including Glenn T. Seaborg, himself a Nobel Laureate in Chemistry. Together with the original medallion, struck in 14k gold and presented to Feynman with his name engraved on it “for a meritorious contribution in physics.” In addition to President Kennedy, the Award is signed by five members of the Atomic Energy Commission: Glenn T. Seaborg (himself a Nobelist, in Chemistry in 1951, Loren K. Olson, Leland J. Haworth, Robert E. Wilson and John S. Graham. Also included are the original press release, a seating chart for the award ceremony itself, and the guest list for the ceremony. Fine condition.
