Obama has written his own name (thus, signed his name) as well of those of his fellow players, Tom, Marvin, and Ray. “Marvin” refers to Marvin Nicholson, White House Trip Director and the man once referred to as “First Bro” by Time Magazine ; Obama was a groomsman at his wedding. Nicholson played golf with Obama over 140 times as president. This golf scorecard formerly belonged to Samuel Sutton, Obama’s personal valet at the White House, and is accompanied by his signed certificate of provenance.
