First edition of Moore’s classic work on economic cycles. The copy of Nobel Prize-winning economist Sir Richard Stone.

Once a student under Menger and a devoted follower of Leon Walras, Henry Ludwell Moore was the only American member of the Lausanne school of economics. The first econometrician, Moore focused primarily on economic estimation using applied statistics and mathematics. Pencil owner signature of Sir Richard Stone on rear endpaper. Stone was the winner of the Nobel Prize for Economics in 1984 and the “father of national income accounting.” Additional pencil owner signature. A few marginal pencil markings.

Only slightest rubbing and soiling to cloth. A near-fine copy, with an exceptional provenance.
