This collection of French songs translated into English includes a wide variety of ballads, patriotic songs, bacchanalian songs, epicurean songs, humorous songs, and more. Also included is a selection of medieval French poetry including works by both troubadours and trouvères, as well as a number of slightly later poems and songs, all translated into English as well.

A few minor spots of foxing to text, only slight rubbing to binding. A lovely copy in near-fine condition.
