Ris-Paquot provides a detailed introduction to the collecting of French ceramicware, surveying each of the country’s regions and their principal centers of production, and also includes a lengthy chapter on foreign production. With reproductions of many factories’ and ateliers’ identifying marks, and a glossary. Ris-Paquot also authored a definitive history of faience, and an encyclopedic dictionary of identifying marks and monograms. Text in French.
