Featuring the work of some of the finest war photographers working today, Desert Diaries / Carnets de Guerre d’Irak covers the Iraq War in the months from January-May 2003. Featured are images and text by Peter Turnley, “one of the leading photojournalists in the world” and his twin brother David Turnley, whose awards include “the Robert Capa Gold Medal for ‘outstanding courage and enterprise’ and the Pulitzer Prize” in 1990 for his coverage of the student uprising in China (Chapnick, 142). Also including images and text by photojournalists Lynsey Addario, Kate Brooks, Christophe Calais, Olivier Coret, Cheryl Diaz Meyer, Antoine Gyori, David Leeson, Benjamin Lowy, Patrick Robert, Antoine Serra and Jérôme Sessini.
