Stock Movements and Speculation

Frederic Drew Bond

FIRST EDITION OF BOND’S STOCK MOVEMENTS AND SPECULATION

BOND, Frederic Drew. Stock Movements and Speculation. New York and London: D. Appleton, 1928. Octavo, original burgundy cloth. $700.

First edition, with folding frontispiece chart.

Written just before the Great Stock Market Crash, this book explained, in layperson’s terms, stock market prices, market movements and trends, and offered tips for embarking on speculation. It took few moral views of the pre-Crash behavior of the market, but did note the difference in investment behavior between the general public and notably wealthy investors and urged investors to practice caution and care in their stock market speculation. Without scarce original dust jacket. Tiny, neat pencil annotations throughout.

A fine copy.
