The image is a glossy print of a photograph that was on display at the 1994 Whitney exhibition “Richard Avedon: Evidence 1944-1994,” entitled “Self-portrait” and originally taken in Montauk, New York, on February 28, 1993. Label affixed to verso of image, suggesting that the photograph was probably signed by Avedon at that exhibition.

Only slight smudging to inscription. About-fine condition.
