Signed limited first edition of this handsome artist’s portfolio, number 505 of 2500 copies signed by both Michener and Levine on the limitation page and again on the inside of the clamshell box.

Illustrated with 54 facsimile reproductions of Levine’s watercolors and sketches of people and scenes in Japan, a few of which are hand-colored by pochoir. Also with four original lithographs and ten original woodcuts by Levine illustrating Michener’s introductory text.
