Photograph printed by Kertész’s studio, dated by him in pencil on the verso, apparently produced to promote the publication of Sixty Years of Photography (1972).

Kertész was “one of the first photographers to demonstrate the tremendous richness of the street… his work is known for its wit, composition, and sense of the unusual” (Blodgett, 96). This print is dated in pencil, “3-15-70, No. 21” in Kertész’s hand.
