Early edition of care and operation guide for Hispano-Suiza airplane engines, including six folding diagrams.
Originally a Spanish automotive manufacturer, in 1911 Hispano-Suiza relocated to Paris. At the start of WWI, the firm moved to manufacturing airplane engines, which were used in many U.S., French and English airplanes. After the war, Hispano-Suiza returned to the manufacture of luxury automobiles, but abandoned cars for aircraft with the outbreak of WWII. Marc Birkigt was the Swiss engineer who co-founded Hispano-Suiza. Provides descriptions and sections on adjustments, timing, wiring, operation, lubrication, maintenance, recommendations, instructions for complete disassembly and reassembly, plus a parts catalog for Model "A" engines.
Light embrowning of pages and dampstain to bottom edge of book, a few foldouts with expert paper repairs. A very good copy.
