First English edition of the first combined publication of the last three novels in the Forsyte Saga, beautifully bound.

Galsworthy's Forsyte Saga is "remarkable for a very sensitive and exact observation of life as well as for purity of style" (DNB). The final three novels, Maid in Waiting, Flowering Wilderness, and Over the River, originally published separately, comprise a trilogy and were first published together in this volume. With a facsimile reproduction of the final page of the manuscript offering insight into Galsworthy's writing methods. The American first edition edition was published the previous year.
