Limited first edition of this lavish large-paper memorial publication of Bullock’s essay on iconography, number 80 of only 200 copies signed by the printer Jonathan Clark and with Wynn Bullock’s autograph initials mounted on the limitation page, with six mounted photographs of his close-ups from nature.

"Wynn Bullock began his photographic career at the age of 42 studying at the Art Center School in Los Angeles, California. A lifelong friend of Edward Weston, his work and influence thrived in Bullock's photographs… Bullock is recognized as an American master photographer of the 20th century. His work is included in over 90 major museum collections around the world including The Museum of Modern Art, The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, The Hallmark Collection of Photography and The Center for Creative Photography" (Weston Gallery). "Bullock produced seascapes, landscapes, and nudes, subjects that evoked for him symbolic meaning of a personal nature. Technically, his work was masterful" (McDarrah & McDarrah, 66).
