Limited edition, number 2313 of 2500 copies of this lovely five-volume set of Boccaccio’s Decameron, with 41 richly detailed color illustrations by Jean Gradassi highlighted in gilt.

The elaborately bound Édition de Luxe includes front and rear panel compartments depicting embossed scenes from the Decameron, as well as central panels with medieval Italian castles and spines with portrait of Boccaccio. Each volume with color-printed title page, borders, initials, and tailpieces. Text in French. Publisher’s limitation page laid into fifth volume.
