Photograph printed by Kertész’s studio of an atmospheric yard scene in South Carolina, signed, dated and captioned by him, apparently produced to promote the publication of Sixty Years of Photography.

Kertész was "one of the first photographers to demonstrate the tremendous richness of the street… his work is known for its wit, composition, and sense of the unusual" (Blodgett, 96). This print of "Three Lawn Jockeys" is apparently unpublished. Studio stamp on verso. Captioned in pencil in Kertész's hand on the verso, "Aiken [South Carolina], Apr. 14— 1953."
