Beautifully detailed late 19th-century Japanese woodblock print of a sumo wrestler.

This print features an image of the champion sumo wrestler Konishiki Yasokichi, whose wrestling career spanned the years 1883 through 1901. Prints such as this one were sold as commemorative broadsides at sumo matches to honor favorite wrestlers.

A few stray red marks on paper. Extremely good condition.
