Beautifully detailed turn of the century Japanese woodblock print of a sumo wrestler.

This print features an image of the champion sumo wrestler Odzutsu Man’emon, whose wrestling career spanned the years 1887 through 1908. This print is dated January 1900. Prints such as this one were sold as commemorative broadsides at sumo matches to honor favorite wrestlers.

Only some light edge-wear and creasing as is usual with this type of paper. Minor restoration to extremities. Very good condition.
