Broadside issued by the Ashkenazi Rabbis of Jerusalem reaffirming their ruling forbidding the secular education of Jewish children in the Holy City of Jerusalem “under pain of excommunication.”
The Rabbis stress that even the teaching of the Arabic language is forbidden as is the tutoring in private of a student.
