Lacoste's father agreed to let him play tennis on the one condition "that his son do it better than any one else." Lacoste became undisputed world champion in 1928. "Never remain motionless;" he advises, "even at the moment one strikes the ball one must be on the tip-toes." Without very scarce original dust jacket. Owner signature dated in the year of publication.

Faint foxing to top margin of a few internal pages. Only slightest rubs to spine ends. A near-fine copy.
