Early edition of the "Big Golden Book" edition of the most celebrated of all Disney classics, boldly inscribed on the title page, "To Sara Ann Emerson, Best Wishes, Walt Disney."

Known as one of Walt Disney's all-time favorite films, this version in book form was adapted from the highly successful movie by studio artist Retta Scott Worcester, who achieved legendary status among animators for her handling of the hunting dogs in Bambi. Later edition, issued without tissue paper honeycomb pop-up representing the pumpkin carriage across front endpapers.

Inscription characteristically bold. A fine copy of a lovely book, scarce and desirable inscribed.
