Signed limited edition of this poster by Maurice Sendak depicting him waving through a mirror at Mickey Mouse, number 66 of only 500 posters signed by Maurice Sendak.

This print by Maurice Sendak was issued to celebrate the opening of the 1981 exhibition "Maurice Sendak: The Artist's Collection of Children's Toys, Books, and Drawings" at the Rosenbach Museum and Library in Philadelphia. This illustration was originally published in TV Guide Magazine in 1978 to accompany a Sendak interview in which he recalled his childhood. Sendak and Mickey Mouse were both "born" in 1928 and Sendak maintained a deep affinity for his cartoon counterpart. "Sendak credited his decision to become an illustrator to watching the Walt Disney film 'Fantasia' when he was 12" (Penn Live Patriot News). He was also an enthusiastic Mickey collector for much of his life and his impressive and valuable collection was sold at auction after his death. Hanrahan C10.
