First edition of this impressive hand-colored engraved panorama (measuring nearly 10 feet long) depicting the procession of Queen Victoria through the city of London on November 9, 1837, in original cloth.

This hand-colored and engraved panorama shows the entirety of Queen Victoria's Royal and Civic Procession, from General Dalbiac to the Sheriffs' Carriage. Each individual grouping (e.g. royal carriage or group of royal staff members) is labeled below the image and the background depicts the whole line of streets from Temple Bar to Guildhall, the City Companies, Christ's Hospital, and more. This was Victoria's first royal visit to the City of London and the level of pomp and circumstance reflects the importance of the occasion. Contemporary ink owner signatures to front pastedown.

Panorama generally bright and fine, a bit of foxing to linen accordion backing, light wear and soiling to binding, mild toning to spine. A beautiful commemorative panorama in near-fine condition.
