This leaf is from a Latin treatise on canon law, scribed in England circa 1510. The recto comprises 22 lines of text in a loose secretarial hand as well as two two-line red initials and occasional red text accents. The lack of gilded illumination suggests that this treatise was probably intended for use by a student rather than by a law professional. Pencil notation ("570") at bottom of leaf.
