This illuminated leaf is from a French Book of Hours, circa 1450-1500. It offers a section of the calendar and includes gothic text in black, beige, and blue. It also features a two-line gilt initial on a filigree beige, blue, and white ground. The three-sided border features flowers, bugs, sprays, and acanthus leaves. The verso, faintly visible through the leaf, appears to feature similar text.
