This illuminated leaf is from a French illuminated manuscript (probably an antiphonal), circa 1450-1500. The recto includes a very large letter "H" in blue and pink with white filigree on a burnished gilt ground decorated with leaves and berries. At the edges of the initial, a small amount of red and black text is visible.
Only slightest rubbing. Very nearly fine condition.
